Traffic never stops. Neither does solar.

Grassland has designed and built three utility-scale solar installations for Florida toll plaza facilities, each with a generating capacity of approximately 500 kW. Two of the arrays are floating systems installed on retention ponds, while the third is a ground-mount installation. Across all three, Grassland carried the work from design through construction, engineering the racking, wiring, and interconnection systems specific to each site condition.

Floating solar and ground-mount solar present different engineering challenges, from corrosion-resistant components and anchoring systems on the water to grading and grounding considerations on land. Each installation was built to perform independently and continuously, supporting toll plaza operations that run without interruption. The result is a body of work that reflects both technical range and consistency, delivered end to end by Grassland's design and field teams.
