School work happens on the district’s calendar — summers, breaks, and nights — and it opens on time, because it has to.

West Oaks Elementary School sits on Dorscher Road in Orlando, an Orange County Public Schools campus serving roughly 490 students in grades pre-kindergarten through five. Grassland carried out a full electrical renovation of the campus, replacing the building's electrical systems while the school remained open and in session throughout.

That combination is what shapes a project like this: the work has to move in pieces small enough to fit around a full school day, life safety systems have to stay live and inspected at every stage, and the whole sequence has to close out inside the windows the academic calendar actually allows. Grassland has carried out this kind of renovation across Central Florida school districts without pulling a single classroom out of session.
