Summerlake Elementary School sits on Porter Road in Winter Garden, an Orange County Public Schools campus serving roughly 750 students in grades kindergarten through five. This was a ground up electrical project for Grassland, built alongside the school rather than retrofitted into it. Decisions on service entry, distribution, and load layout were made before a single classroom existed, and those early choices are the ones the campus will live with as enrollment in the surrounding area continues to grow.

New construction removes some of the constraints of working on an occupied campus, since there's no instruction to schedule around and no life safety systems already in service to protect. In their place comes a different kind of pressure: sequencing the entire electrical scope so a fully functional school is ready the moment students walk in. Grassland's electrical scope supported Summerlake Elementary's opening on schedule.
