Electrical Project Foreman/Journeyman
Job Description
The candidate for Electrical Project Foreman/Journeyman must be a seasoned commercial electrician with interpersonal skills including active listening. This candidate must be well versed in the National Electrical Codes (NEC), skilled in mathematics and reading comprehension, able to troubleshoot, experienced in equipment selection and have a proven track record of completed projects.
Primary Duties
- Read and comprehend working blueprints in the field
- Give clear and concise direction to electricians working on the site
- Communicate effectively with those who need extra instruction
- Read and understand the Scope of Work and work effectively within those parameters
- Communicate with the Project Manager and Superintendent to ensure the labor stays on budget
- Prepare and submit additional material lists to Project Manager
- Work with Project Coordinator to document job progress and maintain job files
Skills/Qualifications
- Completion of Apprenticeship Program – a focus on commercial work is a plus
- Completion of Journeyman’s License preferred
- Experience in management of people and in supervising a construction project
- Flexibility with strenuous work hours
- Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Codes (NEC),
- Comprehension of working drawings and specifications
- Possess analytical, organizational and communication skills
- Must be self-directed yet able to work as a member of our team
- Possess valid driver’s license
